Benny The Butcher and Freddie Gibbs' beef is still alive and well.
The Buffalo, N.Y. rapper took another shot at Gangsta Gibbs on his new collaboration with Westside Gunn. On Friday, October 31, the Griselda Records founder dropped his new album HEELS HAVE EYES 3 featuring Benny, Stove God Cooks, Rome Streetz, and Brother Tom Sos. On "FREE ROLEYS," Benny appears to refer to Gibbs as "Jody," which is the name of Tyrese Gibson's character in Baby Boy.
"When I put another rapper head on the shelf like a trophy/Dark skin, bald head, mama's boy, n***as is Jodys," Benny spits.
Freddie Gibbs didn't waste any time in responding to his longtime foe. In an Instagram Story, Gibbs posted a screenshot of the address of a Walmart in Gulfton, Houston. Benny was reportedly shot in the leg during a failed robbery in the parking lot of that Walmart in 2020.
"Bout to run to wal mart lemme know if yall need somethin," he wrote with a rabbit and laughing emoji.
This is the second time Benny has fired shots at Freddie Gibbs this year. Back in July, the Everybody Can't Go rapper joined forces with Austin Sour, Rain 910, and Visionplay Ent for their collaboration "Position of Power." In his verse, Benny alluded to the incident when Gibbs had his chain snatched during a brawl at a restaurant.
"Rumors back home that we took some jewels/Some s**t that don’t even cost a ‘B’ on my chain," he rapped. "Benny the Butcher the reason these rappers can’t eat in this lane."
Benny The Butcher and Freddie Gibbs have been beefing for several years now. Last year, Benny told The Breakfast Club their issues were in the past and claimed he had no issues with Gibbs. It looks like he may have changed his mind.
