Will Smith still has a few words to say about Chris Rock three years after the infamous slap.
The Philly rap legend recently delivered a fresh freestyle in which he seemingly disses his former foe. Smith doesn't call out Rock by name, but he does slam someone who talks crazy about him on a world stage.
“If you talking crazy out your face up on the stage and disrespect me on the stage, expect me on the stage," Smith spits. “Jokers dish it out, cry foul when its time to take it/City full of real ones, wasn’t raised to fake it.”
Will Smith has spoken about his issues with Chris Rock since he slapped the actor onstage while he was hosting the 2022 Oscars. Earlier this year, Smith tackled the subject on his latest album, Based On A True Story. In the intro "Int. Barbershop - Day" with DJ Jazzy Jeff and B. Simone, people in a barbershop discuss all the rumors they've heard about Smith since the infamous incident in 2022. One person claimed, "Will Smith is cancelled," while another said, "I ain’t never going to forgive him for that s**t he did.”
Smith alluded to the aftermath of the incident in another song, "You Lookin' For Me?" In it, he raps “Took a lot, I’m back on top/Y’all gon’ have to get acclimated/Won’t stop, my s**t still hot/Even though I won’t get nominated.”
