Lil Tjay has been through his fair share of legal drama in the past, but his latest run-in with police truly had him fuming.
Earlier this week, April 30, the Bronx rapper landed at Miami-Opa Locka airport with hopes of celebrating his 23rd birthday. Unfortunately, the prominent artist was greeted by the Miami-Dade Police Department. According to a report from Complex, the "Gangsta Boo" rapper was detained for an outstanding warrant from September 2021 that was issued due to a missed court date. Tjay had to take a mugshot before he was released on a $500 bond. Following all the viral reports about his arrest, Tjay vented about all the negative coverage.
"I AINT HEAR NUN THE BLOGS SAID CAUSE WHERE IM AT IT AINT NO SERVICE 🌴… 500 ON MY BDAY SHI** BOUT NUN I DESERVE IT 🤷🏾♂️✈️," he wrote on Instagram.
"I ain't gonna lie it tickle me a lil bit," he said in an Instagram Story as he walked towards a private jet. "They violated me on my birthday but look, it's another jet!"
Lil Tjay's recent arrest comes nearly a year after his previous interaction with police. Last June, the 222 rapper was filming a music video when officers from the New York Police Department apprehended him. Fans saw the moment unfold since Tjay was streaming the video shoot on Instagram Live. In the video, you can see him telling the officer not to touch him before he passed his phone to someone else and eventually surrendered.
He was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon for publicly waiving a prop gun during the video shoot. Tjay was also hit with obstructing governmental administration for attempting to resist the arresting police officer's orders.
