House of Hope breaks ground on tiny home village

House of Hope hosted their groundbreaking ceremony, for HOPE VILLAGE. Hope Village, will be the village of 24 tiny homes, to help homeless families in the Pee Dee. This is the realization of our efforts with Houses4Homeless, our effort to raise funds to build tiny homes to help homeless families in the Pee Dee. These tiny homes will provide dignified housing solutions to homeless families in the Pee Dee. This is a program, developed by House of Hope, to teach life skills to families, to help them find suitable employment, training, and to help these families, ultimately find more permanent housing solutions.

The tiny homes are being built on Darlington Avenue, in Florence. Bryan Braddock, Director of House of Hope said there is a homeless problem in Florence, that people may not realize.

The Florence community raised the money to fund the $600,000 project, and the tiny homes are expected to be completed by early next year.
