Gwen Stefani Pranks Blake Shelton, Hangs Sexiest Man Alive Cover On Trailer

John Legend has officially been named People's Sexiest Man Alive. On Tuesday night during The Voice, fellow costar and previous winner of the Sexiest Man Alive honor, Blake Shelton, revealed the news.

"As you may remember, I was the 2017 People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive. Because of that, it is my duty to formally introduce the next Sexiest Man Alive, and he just so happens to be here tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, the man, the myth, the legend! 2019 People Magazine Sexiest Man Alive, John Legend!"

Shelton's girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, couldn't let the moment pass without a little light hearted prank. The pop singer decided to blow up Legend's People cover and hang it on the outside of Shelton's trailer.

"I'm sorry, Blake," Stefani jokes in her Instagram Story as she walks up to the country star.

Shelton then denied any hard feelings by the prank and went on to argue that he taught Legend everything he knows.

"No, this is one of my- what's the word? Protégé? I took him under my wing,” Shelton says in the clip.

“I taught him how to pull his jacket over to cover his gut,” he adds, referencing Legend’s pose on the cover. “I do it all the time!”

In another story added to her Instagram Story, Stefani is seen back stage standing by Legend, pointing at him saying, "It's the Sexiest Man Alive! The Sexiest Man Alive!"

Legend responds with a laugh adding, "Oh my God. I learned it from Blake!"

Shelton and Stefani began dating after meeting on the set of The Voice in 2015. Shelton previously revealed that he's still surprised they began dating in the first place. The country singer compared the "shocking" relationship to being crowned Sexiest Man Alive in 2017 by People.

"If you thought the People magazine cover was shocking, mine and Gwen's relationship is probably the biggest head-scratcher," Shelton jokes.

Ever since, the two have become of of America's most beloved couples! You can catch them both on NBC's The Voice every Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET.
